The "House" was built in the 19-teens (approx. 1916) by L.L. (Lester Looney) Harper, a prominent business man in Linden, TX. L.L. Harper, having grown up in Cass County, put his roots down in Linden, marrying a local girl, Mary Allen. L.L. was a geography teacher in Linden and then went on to become the bank president, county clerk, county judge, and also operated the Cass County Land and Abstract Company. His wife, Mary, was involved in church and the community.
Honoring the memories of the Harper's, who built the house, and all who have resided in this uniquely restored home is important to us. Come by for a drink or just a peek, we will see you at the House.
